So sorry I have been so slow getting around to the family, I am going through the loss of my husband. Mary Jane was a wonderful person who truly loved the Lord, I know she is at Peace with our Lord.

I was shocked to see this in the paper today. I'm so sorry for your loss. Mary Jane was not my first piano teacher, but I learned the most from her! She taught me to play hymns by adding chords and my love of piano soared! I lived two doors down from her studio behind Carolyn Flowers on Hwy 80 and loved going there! She was so much fun and I learned so much more from her than music! Her love for the Lord and for life itself was apparent to all who knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Mary Jane had the voice of an angel and a heart to match. Her smiles, her excitement, her kindness, and her laughter will be greatly missed. We can't believe that we will never get to hear that beautiful voice or see her play the piano again. She was a wonderful beautiful person.

What a wonderful lady we have had the privilege to know and love. Gordon and I met Mary Jane and Joe over dessert so you know we were destined to be great friends. We were visiting from CA and looking seriously at settling in Savannah. Mary Jane was wonderful about sharing information and keeping in touch, once we returned to CA. When we moved here, Mary Jane scheduled regular trips for the 4 of us. She was the epitome of the gracious, southern hostess. We will cherish wonderful memories of sharing holidays, dinners, playing on the golf cart, going to Atlanta for a baseball game, and how could we forget Joe and Gordon going to Nascar races. We had our first low country boil on their patio and it was a meal I will never forget. Mary Jane pulled out all the stops. Our daughter, Lauren, remembers Mary Jane’s encouraging words of support when she decided to move from the West Coast to Savannah. We love this family and don’t know why the Lord took Mary Jane, but we must believe and trust in Him.
